Establishment of the Indo-Japanese Center of Educational Excellence — Building a New Bridge Between Japan and India Through Education and Culture
The Indo-Japanese Center of Educational Excellence has been officially established,
and Sayaka Miura, President and CEO of Lutz Inc., has been appointed as a Board Director representing Japan.
The Center collaborates with Ashokrao Mane Group of Institutions (AMGOI), based in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India, with the aim of unlocking the potential of future generations through educational and cultural exchange between Japan and India.
The position of Chairman has been assumed by Kunio Hara, Founder of Homeiku, widely recognized as a leading authority in the field of education.
In addition, educational content creators, influencers, and researchers from Japan and around the world have begun expressing their participation, marking the launch of a global educational network.
Discovering “Potential” in India’s Educational Landscape
When visiting educational institutions in India, I was deeply impressed by both their scale and passion.
The recent summit welcomed approximately 1,700 participants, both onsite and online.
With plans to host World Economic Forum (WEF)-style events every three months, beginning again this December, I could truly feel the momentum and vast potential of this initiative.
Despite financial constraints, students demonstrate strong determination in their pursuit of learning. They are filled with a sincere desire to realize their dreams and contribute to society, radiating a powerful and genuine energy.
Witnessing this reaffirmed for me the essential power of education and the true value of learning.
Connecting Education and Talent Beyond Borders

This project brought together experts from Japan active in education, business, and culture, each contributing support and collaboration from their respective fields.
As we transcended differences in culture and values, a bond began to form — a team united by knowledge.
From this collaboration, a new model of Japan–India partnership is beginning to take shape.
The Challenge of Being the “First Penguin”

The term “First Penguin” refers to the brave individual who is willing to dive into the ocean first, venturing into the unknown before anyone else.
That spirit of courage perfectly represents our mission.
Educational collaboration with India is a first step into uncharted territory, filled with limitless possibilities.
Even when the path is not yet paved, we believe that the courage to move forward with conviction is what opens the door to the future of education.
Through this Center, we are committed to building a new Japan–India educational model —
connecting knowledge and creating the future together.
We hope that this journey will become a source of hope for the next generation and continue to shine as a bridge between our two nations.
